LIPODISSOLVE

Lipodissolve is a non-surgical, minimal downtime, injectable procedure for body sculpting. It is a series of microinjections administered every 2-4 weeks for an average of 6 treatments to reduce inches in your body. It is a body contouring program. You will notice the results in your body by reducing your inches. Typically (depending on area being treated), a decrease in waist size is experienced and clothes generally fit better.

Lipodissolve is a relatively novel procedure which is postulated to dissolve the fat pockets in the body. Lipodissolve has been widely used in Europe for more than 3 decades but has only recently being introduced in North America. The treatment involves injection of specific chemicals using fine needles into the localized fat pockets in the body.

Lipodissolve contains two naturally occurring chemicals, namely phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholate. These two compounds act as chemical detergents and have the ability to dissolve fat both phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholate are normally stored in the gall bladder and help in the normal digestion of fatty foods, since these two chemicals have been known to dissolve fat in the gut, researchers have now devised formulations of these chemicals to dissolve fat in other parts of the body.

Lipodissolve injections are not done on the entire body. A few large fat pockets are identified and are injected in one session. Unlike liposuction, only small pockets of fat are treated. The one limiting factor to these injections is that swelling, and pain can occur. Over the years, just like Botox injections, Fake and diluted samples of Lipodissolve are frequently used as injections. This has severely compromised the effectiveness of the therapy and there is considerable doubt about the benefits of this treatment.

Acoustic Wave Therapy (AWT)

What is AWT?

AWT is a new and painless treatment for smoothing the dimpling effect of the skin, also known as cellulite. The result of this treatment is restored elasticity in connective tissue, and noticeably smoother skin.
How does AWT work?
It works by delivering acoustic pulses to the area of which you are having treated. These acoustic pulses induce vibration in the connective tissue in the treatment area. This process ultimately leads to increased visualization and the creation of a new, thickened band of collagen in the upper and mid portions of the skin.
What areas can be treated?
We can treat the thighs, buttocks, abdomen and arms.
How many AWT treatments will you need?
Ideally, patients are treated once per week for six weeks, with sessions requiring less than a half hour.
